Carbon Responsible joins the BSI Associate Consultant Programme
As a business dedicated to audit-quality outputs for our clients, we are delighted to join BSI’s Associate Consultant Programme.
The British Standards Institution (BSI) is the national standards body of the UK who produce technical standards on a wide range of products including Net Zero, while also offering certification and standards-related services to businesses. Our team of data analysts regularly use and advocate for standards evolution in carbon management, target pathways and disclosure assurance.
Our clients expect high levels of quality and transparent reporting and this is a key element of our work here at Carbon Responsible.
Hugo Kimber, CEO of Carbon Responsible comments: “The process of disclosure and associated regulations is still relatively new for companies and both BSI and ISO are a vital part of ensuring that standards are evolved/evolving to meet the challenges created by climate disclosures. We look forward to working closely with BSI to support many more companies to confidently build and disclose climate metrics and targets that are robust and reduce corporate greenwashing risks.”
The belief that “any numbers will do” in climate disclosures is increasingly falling short of existing standards and regulatory requirements. It is something we are seeing in the increased demand for ISO limited assurance by organisations or investors who have concerns over the integrity of their reporting.
